Tribute to Teachers
Teaching is an everyday adventure – from inspiring students with their daily coursework to helping them navigate their social circles all while communicating with parents and nurturing the culture surrounding them within their school and community.
American Assets Trust and KyXy 96.5 presents Tribute to Teachers 24/25 – a celebration to recognize public and/or private elementary and secondary school teachers and coaches who showcase the true spirit of being an exceptional teacher.
Please share your reason in 250 – 500 words why your child’s teacher or coach deserves the American Assets Trust/KyXy 96.5 Tribute to Teachers Award. If selected, they will be one of 10 selected teachers or Coaches within the San Diego County School Systems, including private, charter and public during the 24/25 academic school year.
Teachers are selected based on your nomination – please be specific with examples on how your child’s public/private teacher/coach are exceptional to your child, the classroom and school/community. Selected teachers will receive a Tribute to Teachers plaque, $250 gift card of their choice from Carmel Country Plaza, Carmel Mountain Plaza, Gateway Marketplace, Lomas Santa Fe, Solana Beach Towne Centre or Southbay Marketplace.

September 9, 2024 at 12:00am PT through May 15, 2025 at 11:59pm PTFor the Tribute to Teachers - online contest, enter between September 9, 2024 at 12:00am PT and 11:59pm PT on May 15, 2025 by completing the online registration form on kyxy.com/contests.
You must also nominate one of your children’s Elementary, Middle or High School Teachers or Athletic Coach who deserves to receive recognition by providing the name of the teacher, the name of the school your child attends, the child’s class, and explain what makes this teacher or Coach great in up to 500 words.
The school must be located in San Diego County. Six times during the 2024/25 school term, one Teacher or Coach will be randomly selected, and upon verification, receive one (1) $250 American Assets Trust gift card redeemable at any American Assets Trusts retail center. American Assets Trust has locations in South Bay Marketplace, National City, Carmel Country Plaza –Carmel Valley, Solana Beach Towne Centre – Solana Beach, Lomas Santa Fe Plaza – Solana Beach, Carmel Mountain Plaza – Carmel Mountain Ranch and Gateway Marketplace.
The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize is $250.00 and there is no expiration date. See gift cards for additional details. The winner(s) will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is.
The gift cards will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the issuer of the gift cards. The gift cards are not refundable or transferable, and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced.
