The Padres Pregame Show will begin at 5:40 pm with new host Sam Levitt, followed by first pitch at 6:40. 2021 All-Star pitcher Yu Darvish will start for the Padres against Arizona's Madison Bumgarner. The Padres boast one of MLB's best starting rotations this season, as their pitching will play a key role in the team's early season success as they await the return of superstar Fernando Tatis Jr., who fractured his wrist during the offseason and will miss a few months to begin the season. The Padres also welcome new manager Bob Melvin, who managed the Oakland A's for the past 10 seasons, as well as the Diamondbacks and Mariners before that.
