Searches for the mullet have increased 190% in the last year, largely from Gen Z users, which is why the oftentimes controversial hairstyle topped the "Rebel Cut" category. Other rebellious cuts include shaved head dye designs, bob cut wigs, octopus haircut and short hair Mohawk.

There were plenty of other trends making their way back into the limelight.

The bejeweled trend, which finds accessorizing the body with bedazzled rhinestones, is getting some attention from Gen Z as well.

While pearls never went out of style, per se, they are expected to have an "it" moment in 2022 when they are incorporated into home décor, jewelry boxes, nail art, clothing and more.

Pinterest also predicts a surge in popularity for nightdresses, tooth gems, high puff hairstyles, checkerboard patterns, colorful attire, "Hellenistic" jewelry and décor inspired by Ancient Greece, and "goth business casual" outfits.
