The Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat-produced track opens with a voice note from Gomez’s little sister, Gracie, in which the 10-year-old assures her superstar big sis, “I love you sissy. Never worry about boyfriends at all,” and goes into Selena contemplating every which way she could break up with her beau:
“Should I do it on the phone? / Should I leave a little note / In the pocket of his coat? (Yeah) / Maybe I'll just disappear / I don't wanna see a tear / And the weekend's almost here,” Selena sings on the single. Check out the new song below.
While Gomez hasn’t released a full-length album since 2020’s Rare, she did drop her all-Spanish EP Revalación the following year. She's also been featured on a handful of sporadic singles since, including Rema’s 2022 smash “Calm Down,” and released a standalone track “My Mind & Me” in support of her documentary of the same name last year.
Answering her fans request for new music, though she’s “not quite done with SG3,” Selena has offered up “Single Soon” to hold Selenators over.
