Apparently Vanessa Hudgens can see dead people. Well, talk to spirits, but whatever, same thing. During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the High School Musical alum opened up about her sixth sense, revealing that throughout her life she’s had “a lot” of experiences with ghosts and spirits.

“I remember getting ready for school when I was 8 years old, and there was, like — you know those ducks that, like, is like the duck thing that you pull? It’s a toy?” she told Clarkson. “There was one of those on the dining room table and I started walking and it just started going alongside me.”

Vanessa continued, “I kind of shut it down for a while because it’s scary. The unknown is scary. But recently I was like, ‘No, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I’m going to lean into it.’”

Hudgens also went on to talk about her “spirit box,” a tool that she explained helps her “scans radio frequencies really quickly.” Revealing “something about the electricity that it creates allows spirits to speak through it.”

If you follow her on IG then you know her favorite holiday is Halloween, so honestly this checks. Plus, this actually isn’t even the first time Vanessa has spoken about her paranormal practices. Back in 2011, the actress told People that she was visited by an unearthly presence, while filming Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in North Carolina.

Noting that North Wilmington, NC is "one of the oldest, most haunted places in North America,” Hudgens recalled hearing footsteps while staying at an old house on location but couldn't find the source. So obviously it was a ghost, duh.

Telling the outlet at the time, “I was chasing around my ghost for like 10 minutes solid, and then it got way too freaky, and I just left.” Adding, “I feel like she might have lost a husband at war and she’s waiting for her man to come back to her. It was definitely a female spirit. I could tell.”

Sounds hella scary and a bit suss, but still a skill nonetheless. That said, we’d go with juggling or baton twirling if the choice was up to us. Check Vanessa's entire interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show below.
