Music has always been in Joey’s DNA being raised in Los Angeles by a Latin Grammy Award winning Father and Dance Queen Mother. His Puerto Rican American culture was evident growing up with Salsa and Hip Hop musical influence, which shaped Joey’s style of who he is today. At 15yrs old, a career day his freshman year in High School would change his life! #1 night show talent from L.A.’s Power 106 radio, spoke to the school, but Joey felt like he spoke directly to HIM! Right then and there he knew he wanted to do radio. He manifested it (before it was a trend), and 7 years later, he was hosting the same night show at Power 106 earning him and his radio partner a #1 spot! His radio journey has taken him from L.A, to Houston, Ventura, Phoenix, back to L.A, then Chicago and right back to my favorite city…. Mornings at Live 101.5 in Phoenix! At the end of the day his favorite role is Dad. Newly single father with 3 children. 18 year old son Jojo. 8 year old Cruz. And the apple of Daddy’s eye, 6 year old Jia Bella. Life is good! Joey’s a Sneakerhead in need of an intervention, but truly, it’s his vice being submersed in the sneaker culture. He’s a simple man who enjoys street tacos with a cold one, but also loves to enjoy fine dining with a relaxed dress code. He has a killer yorkie named Gizzy!”
