The Brooklyn, New York native's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show will once again do a "Brooklyn Week” in October at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House -- marking its sixth visit to the borough, and the first time in three years.

The show, now in its 20th season, is slated to tape live in front of a studio audience.

The show regularly airs weeknights from Los Angeles, CA. Kimmel started taking the show to Brooklyn for week-long special starting in 2015, and then up every year until 2019. The comedian had to halt the tradition due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Covid numbers have ticked up in New York state in the last few weeks, and New York City's city’s health commissioner, Dr. Ashwin Vasan, just announced an increased alert level, suggesting masks be worn indoors again.

So we'll see how it all plays out for Kimmel's audience and the production when the plan comes around in the fall. Kimmel himself recently tested positive for Covid-19, but is on the mend.

Notably, the show's "Brooklyn Week" guests have not yet been announced, nor have the specific dates.

Previous guests of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Brooklyn Week have included Eddie Murphy, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Adam Sandler, Benedict Cumberbatch, Eminem, Cardi B, Wu-Tang Clan, David Letterman, Michael J. Fox, Chris Rock, Misty Copeland, Jay Z, and more.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” airs every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
