School is back in session which means we finally have a little bit of down time to start making our way through our "to watch" list! First up for me was Netflix's newest romantic comedy "Happiness for Beginners" which stars Ellie Kemper and Luke Grimes...yes, THAT Luke Grimes from the "Yellowstone" television show! I'm not even going to try and hide the fact that he is what drew me into this movie but I am glad he did because it was overall really cute.

"Happiness for Beginners" is based on the wildly popular novel by Katherine Center by the way...I had no clue it was a book but I might actually go pick it up and give it a read now because I really enjoyed the movie. Ellie Kemper stars as Helen, a recent divorcee who is looking to reset her life and vows to start keeping promises to herself. She decides to prove this by going on a group hike to the Appalachian Trail. Luke Grimes plays Jake, the lifelong best friend of Helen's younger brother. He is a doctor that recently stepped away from his career for various reasons and he also just happens to be on this hike as well...you see where I'm going with this?!? It's fairly predictable but they do throw in some fun twists and turns plus the nature scenes are absolutely gorgeous!

I would definitely recommend this one for anyone who is looking for a fun, light hearted movie for movie night. There isn't anything inappropriate in it that would keep you from watching it in front of your kids...it's probably not going to keep their interest but you can still watch it with them in the room without having to worry. All in All, I would watch this one again and I am even thinking about going to pick up the book it's based on. Let me know what you think!
