Maria Branyas is a survivor.
The 113-year-old great-grandmother of 13 lives in the eastern city of Olot, Spain and has beaten COVID-19.
Branyas lived through both World Wars, the Spanish Civil War, and, now, has reportedly become the oldest person to recover from coronavirus, reported the NY Post.
Diagnosed with COVID-19 in April, Branyas, who is also allegedly the oldest living person in Spain, was "virtually asymptomatic," her daughter Rosa Moret told the outlet. She described her mother as a "strong and positive" person.
Born in San Francisco in 1907, Branyas moved with her family to Spain in 1915. After marrying in 1931, she went on to have three children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her family is now waiting for the moment they can visit Branyas once she is out of isolation.
A 107-year-old St. Louis man named Rudi Heider was previously believed to be one of the oldest people to recover from coronavirus.
