Fans of the Christmas classic A Christmas Story will know Zack Ward as the larger-than-life bully Skut Farkus, or as he says in his interview that most people recognize him as "that guy" or mistake him for some other nefarious character. However, there are so many other levels to Zack, who is not only talking about the Christmas classic and the newly released to HBOMax continuation of the story A Christmas Story Christmas, he open up about his father's 2020 diagnosis with Alzheimer's Disease,

Zack Ward who is the fox-fur hat-wearing bully in ‘A Christmas Story’ talks about the return to the Cleveland home used in the film to raise awareness and support for the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of his real father, Todd Ward, who is one of the 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Zack is going through a similar real-life story as seen in the new HBO Max sequel to the 1983 cult classic film that follows a son ('Ralphie') losing his father and trying to fill his shoes in keeping up with Christmas traditions. With Zack's father now in the end stages of Alzheimer's, we hope to set up an interview with you and Zack to share his very personal and inspiring story this holiday season.

Zack is drawing on the nostalgic power of the family-favorite flick — and the excitement surrounding the highly anticipated sequel — by teaming up for the second year with the Alzheimer’s Association as an advocate and Celebrity Champion.
Fans can meet Zack at the Christmas Story House and Museum in Cleveland on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, there will be a screening of "A Christmas Story Christmas," which Ward will attend, at the Highland Square Theatre in Akron.

Both events are free, and you can make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.

If you are not in the Ohio area this weekend, you can always make a contribution to the Alzheimers Association.
