
Each year I prepare for holidays by looking up some favorite recipes, or finding new ones!
This year with 4th of July, I decided I'd try something nice and refreshing. I figured strawberries are the way to go, and so is something nice and boozy. Listen, it's been a stressful year, and Susie zone is a safe and judgement free zone. So, before you go shopping for Independance Day, here are just a few more things to snag before leaving the store.
The best part about this, is you can make it kid friendly too, just by omitting the alcohol. So here,we,go!
Stuff you'll need (4 servings)
(1 and 1/3 cups) strawberries, stems cut
5 tablespoons granulated sugar , divided
1/4 cup (60 ml) full-fat cream cheese (make sure it's room temperature)
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
(OPTIONAL) 1/2 tablespoon orange liquor , can be Triple Sec, Gran Marnier, Cointreau
3/4 cup (180 ml) heavy cream, cold
