Today marks the third anniversary of the October 1st attack at Route 91 festival here in Las Vegas.
It was the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
There are several events planned to observe the day:
Clark Country’s 1 October Sunrise Remembrance in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Department, country Fire Department and the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center is scheduled for 7am at the country Government Center amphitheater. Seating is reserved for those who lost relatives in the attack and the event will be streamed on Facebook and YouTube.
The 1 October Memorial Blood Drive hosted by Vitalant and the Las Vegas Ballpark is happening from 9am to 7pm at the ballpark in Summerlin. Vitalant is providing COVID-19 antibody testing with every successful donation. Visit bloodhero.com to make a required appointment.
A ceremony will be held at 10:05pm tonight hosted by Get Outdoors Nevada and the mayor will read the names of each victim. The event is closed to the public but will be streamed online.

She leaked a new song called “Still Have Me.”
She didn’t notify her team that she was going to put it out so now they’re scrambling to get the song on the streaming services.
Word is she did it since her ex-fiancé Max Ehrich was talking publicly about their breakup.
She wrote the song with friends but sources say she changed the lyrics to reflect the recent split.

Study: The average American watched at least 20 movies this summer.
Over half of the respondents say they streamed more than they would in a normal summer due to stay-at-home restrictions with COVID-19.
It wasn’t just movies…the average person binged four shows in the past two months.
And two in five parents estimated their child is streaming more now than when the pandemic started.

There’s a new item on the Starbucks secret menu in honor of Halloween this month.
It’s the Ghostbusters Frappuccino!
If you know the movie Ghostbusters, you will recognize the colors of the drink. It’s red and white and black on the top which looks just like the iconic team logo.
It’s a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino base with one pump of raspberry syrup, some strawberry puree, and topped with mocha cookie crumbles and whipped cream.
