The Golden Knights signed Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo to a seven-year contract.
The contract is worth an average annual value of 8,800,000.
The team has also acquired a third-round draft selection in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for defenseman Nate Schmidt.
The Golden Knights General Manger Kelly McCrimmon said, “When we looked at opportunities to improve our team, we saw a rare opportunity to add an elite player like Alex to our team. For us, we viewed it as a similar opportunity to when we acquired Mark Stone. Generally, these are players don’t make it to market."

The singer and former member of the band Genesis is involved in some big personal drama.
He is taking steps to evict his ex-wife Orianne Cevey from his Florida mansion.
Now, they got divorced over a decade ago but they have been off and on again since then.
She allegedly got secretly married to another man in August after she told Phil that she was taking a business trip to Las Vegas!
She is refusing to vacate their south Florida mansion and he refuses to give her any spousal support, which he did when they originally got divorced.
His ex says she want to re-negotiate the 2008 divorce settlement before she leaves.
TMZ reports that things could get really ugly because Orianne is reportedly “threatening to release false and embarrassing accusations about Phil” unless he coughs up more money.

Natty Light is holding a contest where one person and three guests get to drink cheap beer and fly around in the company’s private jet.
It’s a “flight to nowhere,” so you can’t actually travel anywhere.
They’ll just take you up to 30,000 feet, fly around for a few hours while you pretend to be rich and then land at the same airport.
They say the flight and everything it comes with is worth $25,000. To enter, you have to post on social media with the hashtags “NaturalFlight” and “Contest,” and tell them what you’d name your private jet if you had one.
