The FBI has investigated the noose found in Bubba Wallace’s garage at Talladega and they found that he was not the target of a hate crime.
They determined that the rope had been there since at least last October and that no charges will be filed in the incident.
Their report concludes and photos confirm that the garage door pull rope was fashioned like a noose and had been positioned there since as early as last fall.
NASCAR thanked the FBI for their quick and thorough investigation and said they are thankful that this was not an intentional, racist act against Bubba.

Survey: People are forgetting how to drive due to the coronavirus lockdown.
A fifth of motorists say they have struggled to get back to normal behind the wheel of a car.
In the past 28 days, the average driver has covered just 90 miles, with 30% driving 25 miles or fewer.
The most common mistakes made by motorists since lockdown include: Stalling the car, struggling to parallel park, forgetting to use their blinker, scraping their wheels on a curb and having to think carefully about what each pedal does.
