About a week after it was announced that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was going virtual due to coronavirus, another holiday tradition will be joining.
Times Square New Year’s Eve 2021 will be, according to organizers, “happening visually, virtually, safely.”
The Times Square Alliance says there will still be some scaled-back and COVID-cautions live events but the goal this year is to pull off the festive ball drop safely.
Sadly, there won’t be anyone physically there to see it.
#MostInfluentialPeople
Time magazine revealed its annual list of the 100 Most Influential People.
They don’t rank them from 1 to 100 but they put them into categories like Leaders, Icons, Artists, and Pioneers.

Icons include Billy Porter, Megan Rapinoe and Naomi Osaka.
Artists include The Weeknd, Halsey, Selena Gomez and Michael B. Jordan.
And Pioneers include Megan Thee Stallion and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
#KellyClarkson
If you watched The Kelly Clarkson show yesterday you may have noticed something different about the host.
She’s donning a new fashion accessory…an eye patch.
Kelly explained her new eyewear yesterday when she was talking to her guest, Common.
She said, “I’m sorry. I look like a pirate. I hurt my eye and I hate to wear it. And, so it’s ridiculous. You’re being interview by a pirate today.”
Apparently something got in there, possibly cut her eye and now it’s infected.
#BensOriginal
Mars is changing the name of its Uncle Ben’s rice product to Ben’s Original.
They will also drop the logo depicting a Chicago head waiter as part of the company’s promise to create a more inclusive brand.
The revamped Ben’s products will still feature the same blue font and orange packaging.
The transition from Uncle Ben’s to Ben’s Original comes amid the movement on racial equality and criticism that the brand is rooted in racial stereotypes.
