o The nominations for the 76th annual Emmy Awards have been announced.
o Leading the pack this year is FX’s Shogun, which got 25 nominations, including nods for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Hiroyuki Sanada) and Outstanding Lead Actress (Anna Sawai.)
o Also from FX, The Bear got 23 nominations, including Best Actor and Actres nominations for Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.
o The show surpassed a record that was previously held by the show 30 Rock.
o HBO’s True Detective: Night Country scored 19 and Netflix’s Baby Reindeer scored a total of 11 nominations.
o The shows in the running for Outstanding Drama Series are The Crown, Fallout, The Gilded Age, The Morning Show, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Shogun, Slow Horses and 3 Body Problems.
o The shows with nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series are Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Palm Royale, Reservation Dogs, and What We Do in the Shadows.
o The Emmys will air live on September 15th on ABC.
