o Their attempt at some International Women’s Day inspiration completely backfired yesterday.
o Early in the day, Burger King U.K. tweeted, “Women belong in the kitchen.”
o The tweet was the opening of a thread in which the subsequent posts explained the brand wanted to see more women in positions of culinary leadership and would be creating a new scholarship program to help them achieve those ambitions.
o Many times tweets are shared without the context of replies so many felt it was in poor taste and they deleted the tweets.
o The brand tweeted, “We hear you. We got our initial tweet wrong and we’re sorry.
Our aim was to draw attention to the fact that only 20% of professional chefs in UK kitchens are women and to help change that by awarding culinary scholarships. We will do better next time.”
#TheWeeknd
o He just achieved something that no other artist has ever done.
o The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” is the first song to spend a full year in the Top 10 of the Hot 100.
o It’s currently No. 3 on the Hot 100 chart behind, “Up” by Cardi B at #2 and “Drivers License” by Olivia Rodrigo, which just hit 8 weeks at #1.
o This is the song’s 52nd week in the top 10 of the chart, making it the first song to ever spend a full year in the Top 10.
o If the song can somehow remain in the top 5 spots for another 9 weeks, it’ll be the first song to spend a year in the top 5 as well.
o “Blinding Lights” was released as a single way back in November of 2019.

o Oprah’s highly anticipated interview was the most-watched, non-sports program since last year’s Oscars telecast.
o An average of 17.1 million viewers watched the two-hour telecast from 8 to 10pm on both coasts.
o CBS paid about $8 million for the rights to the interview and then sold 30-second commercials at a rate of $325,000 per spot.
o Despite the huge ratings, it wasn’t Oprah’s most-watched interview.
o That was her 90-minute sit-down with Michael Jackson on February 10th, 1993, which had an audience of 62 million viewers.
