o Move over Katy Perry, there’s a new judge in town!
o TMZ is reporting that Carrie is close to signing a deal that would make her the new judge on American Idol, now that Katy has left.
o Their sources say that they’re in the final stages of contract negotiation.
o That would put her at the table with co-judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
o And maybe it’s just coincidence, but she has an appearance scheduled on “Good Morning America” this Friday for their Summer Concert Series.
o Both shows are on ABC.
o She will still be performing at Resorts World in her Reflection residency, as she just extended through 2025.
o Luckily, it’s just an extra 6 shows so she should be able to manage both at the same time.
o Carrie headed back to American Idol is really going back to where it all started as she won season 4 of the show back in 2005.
o She’s won 8 Grammys and sold over 85 million records.
