#RaiderNation

o   Raider Nation was buzzing yesterday!

o   The All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, who the Raiders acquired from the Green Bay Packers, was dressed in the silver and black.

o   And there was no one more excited to see him than QB Derek Carr.

o   The moment was captured on video as Carr saw his former Fresno State teammate in his new uniform.

o  Carr said, “It’s good to see you in that Silver & Black. Oooooo! This is the first time I’ve got to see him in Silver & Black.”

o   Adams said, “The jersey, it really hit me today.”

o   The Raiders traded a first and second round draft pick for Adams.

o   The team’s first preseason game will be on August 4 in Canton Ohio for the Hall of Fame Game,

#Tipping

o   Survey: Americans are worse tippers now than pre-Covid.

o   73% of Americans say they always tip at a sit-down restaurant which is down from 2019, according to a new survey from CreditCards.com.

o   And although 57% of Americans always tip food delivery people, that’s down from 63% in 2019. Only about four in 10 (43%) Americans always tip a taxi or rideshare driver, down from one in two (49%) before the pandemic.

o   The lone exception to the trend: Roughly two-thirds of Americans (66%) say they always tip their hairstylist or barber, up three points since 2019.

o   Experts say that inflation is cutting into consumers’ purchasing power and a tight labor market has left many service industry businesses understaffed and struggling to provide top-notch customer experiences.

#GoldenGirls

o   An immersive restaurant experience is going to LA next month and it’s centered around “The Golden Girls.”

o   It’ll be called the Golden Girls Kitchen and will be a fully-functioning restaurant and bar.

o   There will be items inspired by the show like Sophia's lasagna (meat or vegan), Blanche's Georgia-style cookies, the Dorothy: a Miami-style sandwich, and beverages like Tea Arthur and Rose on Rosé.

o   There will also be exclusive merchandise and photo-ops where you can sit at their kitchen table, chill on the lanai, or take a spin through Shady Pines.

o   You can head to BucketListers.com to get on the waitlist.  Tickets will be $50 and include a reserved seat and time, an entrée and, of course . . . cheesecake.
