· Ed Sheeran has officially released his brand-new studio album Play, available everywhere today.
· The record includes the new single “Camera,” which arrived today alongside its official music video starring Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor.
· Play marks the start of a new creative era for Sheeran following the close of his Mathematics series.
· The album blends global influences like Indian and Persian music with Irish folk traditions, while still delivering the ballads fans know him for.
· This is the first of five new albums inspired by media player buttons: Pause, Fast Forward, Stop, and Rewind are still to come.
· Sheeran says Rewind is nearly done, though it may be about 18 months before it drops.
· To celebrate, Sheeran will perform a special Tiny Desk concert livestream today at 9 am PST, the first livestream of its kind for NPR’s iconic series.
· Looking ahead, he’s bringing his Loop Tour to Australia in early 2026, with massive stadium shows already on sale.
· Some of the other tracklist highlights include “Sapphire,” “Azizam,” “Old Phone,” “Symmetry,” “Camera,” and “Heaven.”
