
· Ed Sheeran has confirmed he has a new single dropping next month and a new album, rumored to be called Play.
· Fans first speculated about the album when he changed his Instagram profile photo and teased Play was “coming soon.”
· He originally planned to release the single on March 21 but revealed it’s been pushed to April, saying, “Something massive came in that’s gonna help blow the song up.”
· He also confirmed the album is finished and will be released under his label, Gingerbread Man Records.
· Sheeran revealed some of the track titles, including “Old Phone,” “Sapphire,” and “Azizam,” with “Old Phone” being his personal favorite.
· The singer says his upcoming album marks a return to big pop, his first in a long time, and follows 2023’s Autumn Variations.
· He will continue his Mathematics Tour this year, with European dates from May to September, plus shows in Bhutan, India, Qatar, and Bahrain.
