o   Is he going to retire from music?

o   He’s been in a lawsuit with the family of Ed Townsend, who collaborated with Marvin Gaye on the song “Let’s Get It On.”

o   He claims that Sheeran’s song “Thinking Out Loud” copies his.

o   This week in the trial, Ed reportedly told people in the room that he will quit music if he’s found guilty.

o   He said, “If that happens, I’m done, I’m stopping,” he said. “I find it really insulting to devote my whole life to being a performer and a songwriter and have someone diminish it.”

o   He also said he will continue to deny that he copied the song.

#DancingWithTheStars

o   ABC will once again have Dancing With the Stars on the network after the series moved to Disney+ last year.

o   The broadcast network will air the 32nd season of DWTS in the fall, and it will stream live on Disney+ as well

o   The show will now run on both platforms, as well as stream the next day on Hulu.

o   Moving the series back to the ABC could also be a safety net because of the Writers Guild of America strike, which began Monday night.

o   If it lasts long, it could impact the normal start of production on scripted shows for the fall.

#Twitter

o   Is it uncool to have a verification badge now?

o   Ever since Elon Musk said that the only way legacy verified accounts will be able to keep their blue checks past April 20 is by subscribing to Twitter Blue for $8 per month, many of those that lost theirs say that they refuse to pay.

o   Twitter began reinstating blue checks to select accounts with over 1 million followers.

o   Now, many of those people are looking at it like a scarlet letter.

o   Lil Nas X got his back and two days later he tweeted, “On my soul i didn’t pay for twitter blue, u will feel my wrath tesla man!”

o   Other celebrities that want you to know they will not buy their verification include Chrissy Teigan, Patrick Mahomes, Charlie XCX and Halle Berry.
