o 20 young women are competing to be a part of the next global girl group.
o Hybe and Geffen Records announced this week the 20 finalists who come from all around the world.
o The diverse group of young women were selected from over 120,000 submissions after HYBE and Geffen announced the joint venture back in November 2021.
o The lengthy process of creating the group will be documented in an upcoming Netflix series, which will delve into the journey to global stardom while showing the intense training program they go through.
o The currently untitled series is set to premiere in 2024. I
o In the meantime, the 20 contestants will participate in The Debut: Dream Academy audition program, which fans can follow along with on YouTube beginning Sept. 1.
o After 12 weeks, the final members of the group will be selected and the name of the group will be revealed at the live finale on Nov. 17.

o But this time, it wasn’t by a fan!
o The singer learned the hard way that fireworks should always be set off far away from people.
o She was performing in England over the weekend when a firework went off on stage and appeared to hit her in the face.
o She was singing and then laughed and yelled an expletive, finishing the last five songs of her performance.
o Many fans didn’t even catch what happened.

o And now there’s this…Pumpkin spice butt wipes are now a thing that exist.
o The company Dude Wipes is making them . . . and calling them "DUMPkin Spice" wipes.
o According to the description, they're designed to, quote, "keep your butt cozy with a pumpkin spice-inspired mix of clove, nutmeg, and other fall scents."
o They posted a picture of a pumpkin with the date "9-5-23" carved in it, so we're guessing that's when they officially drop.
