#Emmys
Last night was television’s biggest night!
The 75th Annual Emmy Awards were finally held after they were delayed for four months due to the actors and writers strikes.
Succession swept it all taking not only the Emmy for best drama series, but actor nods for Kieran Culkin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Sarah Snook, and major writing and directing awards.
The Bear took the top comedy prize of the night, along with awards for Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allan White.
And Beef cleaned up, winning Best limited/anthology series and actor awards for Ali Wong and Steven Yeun.
It was also a big night for Elton John who is now an EGOT winner, adding an Emmy for outstanding variety special for “Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium” to his Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.·
#Madonna
The singer is apologizing to her fans.
Over the weekend, her Celebration Tour made a stop at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
During the show, she greeted the audience with, “Hello Boston!”
She quickly apologized and corrected herself.
She even asked if the audience was mad at her saying, “That would be like if you guys were saying ‘Hey Lady Gaga’s playing tonight!”
#Popeyes
If you don't have a rooting interest in the NFL playoffs, and you love chicken, then you are in the same boat as Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, which was founded in New Orleans, the home of the Saints.
Popeyes wants to give you something to cheer for, so they're giving away FREE WINGS if a team wins the Super Bowl that involves WINGS.
Obviously, that's the two remaining bird teams: the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles.
They're also counting the Buffalo Bills, apparently for the "Buffalo wings" connection.
If one of those three teams wins it all on February 11th, customers can snag a free six-piece order of wings with any purchase two days after the Super Bowl, on February 13th, which is also Mardi Gras a.k.a. Fat Tuesday.
