o   The singer was arrested on DWU charges on Tuesday and now his lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., is speaking out.

o   His office says that he “looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time. He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”

o   The singer was charged with three counts, two traffic violations (not stopping at a stop sign and failure to stay in a proper lane of travel) and one count of driving while intoxicated.

o   He was arraigned and released from custody on his own recognizance on Tuesday morning.

o   His next court date is on July 26th, although he will not be required to attend the hearing.

o   Sources say that the arresting officer was so young that he didn’t even know who the pop star was.

o   The criminal complaint states that he claimed to have just one martini but he performed poorly on field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer.

o   He is scheduled to play two shows in Chicago this weekend, before performing at New York City's Madison Square Garden next Tuesday.
