o The Kansas City Chiefs your Super Bowl Champions
o They defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.
o It took a last-minute touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Mecole Hardman (who the Chiefs traded for midseason.)
o The game was tied 19-19 at the end of regulation.
o Both teams were given the chance to possess the ball in overtime. The 49ers got down near the goal-line, but couldn't get in, so they had to settle for a field goal.
o The 49ers defense just had to keep Mahomes and the Chiefs from scoring a touchdown to stay alive and they couldn't do it.
o Mahomes was named the Super Bowl MVP . . . again. It's his THIRD time winning the award.
o This was only the second time the Super Bowl has ever gone into overtime.
#Beyoncé
o She announced a new album during the Super Bowl!
o She did it during a Verizon commercial where she was trying to break the internet.
o After failing multiple times, she ended the commercial by saying “Drop the music.”
o Right after that she confirmed on social media that her eighth album called Act II is coming out on March 29th.
o She also dropped the first two singles from that album, called “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.”
o This is the second part of her three-part Renaissance project and appears to be a country album.
#Usher
The Las Vegas resident delivered during his Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show.
He kicked off the show with his song “Caught Up” in true Vega fashion, complete with showgirls, acrobats and dancers.
The show was complete with costume changes, Usher on roller skates and some special appearances.
Alicia Keys started with her song “If I Aint’ Got You” and then the two sang their song “My Boo”.
H.E.R. surprised the crowd with an incredible guitar solo.
And to wrap things up, Lil Jon got things going with “Turn Down for What” before being joined with Ludacris as they performed “Yeah!”
