o   It really is Christmas for the singer!

o   She is no longer being sued for her 1994 song “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

o   The lawsuit was originally submitted in June by Andy Stone who claimed that in 1989 he wrote and recorded a song under the same title under the name Vince Vance And The Valiants.

o   Stone was suing Carey and her co-writer for using his track without permission.

o   He also alleged that his version received “extensive airplay” during the 1993 holiday season.

o   He was seeking $20 million in the lawsuit but he has dismissed his filing “in its entirety, without prejudice.”

o  This week Mariah welcomed the holiday season saying “IT’S TIIIIIIIIME!!!!!!” dressed in a full Santa suit and as expected, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” re-entered the Top 40 on iTunes in the US and was streamed globally over a million times.
