#VMAs
o Last night the MTV Video Music Awards celebrated their 40th anniversary and they did so in a big way!
o Megan Thee Stallion was the night’s host.
o Some of the music industry’s biggest performers were there and Eminem kicked things off with a recreation of his famous set from the 2000 VMAs, when the stage was packed with lookalikes of the rapper during his performance of “The Real Slim Shady.”
o This time around, he and his doppelgängers performed “Houdini,” while Jelly Roll appeared onscreen for a virtual duet on “Somebody Save Me.”
o For the awards, it was a great night for Taylor Swift!
o She won seven VMA’s including Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for "Fortnight", featuring Post Malone.
o "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter won Song of the Year, and Chappell Roan was voted Best New Artist.
o Katy Perry was presented with the Video Vanguard Award by her husband Orlando Bloom.
o She also performed a 10-minute medley of her greatest hits and new tracks from her upcoming album "143." Songs included were "Dark Horse," "E.T.," "I'm His, He's Mine" with Doechii, "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "I Kissed a Girl," "Firework," and "Lifetimes.”
