o   MTV has changed the date for the upcoming 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

o   The changed it from Tuesday, September 10th to Wednesday, September 11th to avoid conflicting with the presidential debate between vice president Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump.

o   They have also announced some of the performers for the show including Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello, GloRilla and Rauw Alejandro.

o   They are all nominated for VMAs this year.

o   Taylor Swift leads the nominations this year with 10, followed by her “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone with nine nods (eight from “Fortnight” and one for his song “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen.

o   They’re followed by Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Sabrina Carpenter with six nominations each.
