o Paul Reubens, the actor and comedian known as Pee-wee Herman, died Sunday.
o He was known for his tight gray suit with a red bow tie, his signature laugh, the film “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” and Saturday morning television show “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.”
o He had been privately struggling with cancer for six years.
o In a statement released with the announcement of his death yesterday, he said, “Please accept my apology for not going public with what I’ve been facing the last six years. I have always felt a huge amount of love and respect from my friends, fans and supporters. I have loved you all so much and enjoyed making art for you.”
