o Last week the actress took to social media saying that she would be sharing the identity of a massive “jerk” (she used an expletive to describe him) that she worked with in the industry.
o Her upcoming book Rebel Rising has an entire chapter dedicated to her experience.
o Over the weekend she posted that the actor was trying to threaten her before the book release saying, “He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers,” she wrote. “He is trying to stop press coming out about my book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth.”
o Then on Sunday, she shared that the celebrity she was referring to was Sacha Baron Cohen, who she worked with on the 2016 movie The Brothers Grimsby.
o His rep released a statement saying, “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”
