o The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards were presented live from Las Vegas last night.
o Dolly Parton, Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett hosted the festivities from Allegiant Stadium.
o The event streamed live exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, which was a first for the ACM Awards.
o Miranda Lambert won Entertainer of the Year.
o Carly Pearce took the award for Female Artist of the Year and Chris Stapleton won for Male Artist of the Year.
o Duo of the Year went to Brothers Osborne and Old Dominion got Group of the Year.

o He testified yesterday that he did not steal the idea of his hit song “Shape of You” from songwriters.
o During a hearing in London’s High Court, Sheeran denied he stole ideas from songwriters Sami Chokri and Ross O’Donoghue on the 2017 hit.
o They claim that their 2015 song “Oh Why” sounds “strikingly similar” to the hook in “Shape of you.”
o Sheeran denied the claim that he is someone who lifts other people’s work without acknowledgment—and he even pointed out the fact that he often shares credit with lesser known artists.
o He created the song with co-writers Steve Mac and Johnny McDaid from Snow Patrol.
o After the song was released, he added the team behind TLC’s “No Scrubs” to the writing credits.
