o The cast of “Bridgerton” is getting a shake-up.
o Their leading man will not be reprising his role as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, in the second season of the Netflix drama.
o Sources say he was always signed for a one-season deal and he “completed his contractual obligation.”
o Netflix shared the news on social media via an announcement from the show’s gossip girl Lady Whistledown writing, “Dear Readers, while all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Regé-Jean Page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hastings. We’ll miss Simon’s presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family. Daphne will remain a devoted wife and sister, helping her brother navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer—more intrigue and romance than my readers may be able to bear.”
o Page thanked fans, saying, “Pleasure and a privilege! An honour to be a member of the family—on and off screen cast, crew and incredible fans—the love is real and will just keep growing.”

o The singer celebrated getting her first dose of the COVID vaccine by hitting one of her famous high notes over the weekend.
o She posted the moment in a video on Instagram writing, “Vaccine side effect: G6.”
o During the appointment she tried to pose but the doctor told her she needed to relax and then she let out a shriek as the needle went into her arm.
o Taking time off this year has helped her relax saying, “Taking off work has really helped my voice,” but she knows it’s time for her to get back in the studio.

o Survey: 40% of Americans don’t recognize themselves in the mirror due to COVID stress.
o The survey examines the evolution of respondents’ relationships with their bodies since the pandemic started last year.
o Over half of people believe the pandemic has negatively affected how they feel about their body.
o Another 42% confessed to not feeling “at home” in their bodies anymore.
o 49% say they don’t have the same level of confidence as they did prior to COVID-19.
o But can they get that confidence back? For 53% of people, they say a vacation would help.
o Others say a haircut (33%), a night out (37%), and a massage (37%) would help, while 31% say they would really like to start mental health therapy.
