o Will Deadpool and Wolverine be hosting the next Academy Awards?
o It’s that time of year when the search for the host of The Oscars starts and Deadline is reporting that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are on the short list to host as a duo.
o It would make sense as they’re they starred in the summer blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine, which was the second biggest movie of the summer, just behind Inside Out 2.
o The movie came from Disney which owns ABC and that is the network that will be airing the 97thAnnual Academy Awards on March 2.
o Hugh Jackman hosted the show solo back in 2009 to rave reviews, but sources say that adding Reynolds to the mix could add that extra comedy that helps the 3 hour long program.
o Other names that have been rumored to host include Will Farrell, Amy Poehler and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
