o   The singer’s use of a Roman Catholic church in Brooklyn in her latest music video has caused an uproar.

o   In her video for the song “Feather,” she is covered in blood after arranging the deaths of men who relentlessly hit on her throughout the video.

o   The men get their payback by getting run over by a truck,  fighting each other to death; and getting choked by the tie in an elevator shaft.

o   Carpenter also dances around a church at the men’s funerals, wearing a short black tulle dress and veil and posing with religious items at the altar, including a coffin that reads “RIP B—-.”

o   The final scene was filmed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish and when the video was released, Bishop Robert J. Brennan said he was “appalled” and that “the parish did not follow diocesan policy regarding the filming on Church property, which includes a review of the scenes and script.”

o   Now the pastor, Msgr. Jamie J. Gigantiello, has been relieved of his administrative duties overseeing the church.

o   He made an apology online saying that he didn’t find anything about Sabrina online and he approved the filming in an “effort to further strengthen the bonds between the young creative artists who make up a large part of this community.”

o   He also claims that he knew there was a funeral scene but what he approved was different than what was filmed.
