o The tennis star is speaking out after she says she was denied access to a hotel restaurant.
o It happened at the Peninsula Paris and she posted on X, “Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids. Always a first.”
o A staff member told Variety that she showed up with another woman and a stroller and was “unrecognizable.”
o They also responded on X writing, “Dear Mrs. Williams, Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you encountered tonight. Unfortunately, our rooftop bar was indeed fully booked and the only unoccupied tables you saw belonged to our gourmet restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, which was fully reserved. We have always been honored to welcome you and will always be to welcome you again.”
o Serena has been in Paris since late July when she acted as a torch bearer.
o She’s attended several Olympic events, including several tennis matches, including Novak Djokovic’s win over Carlos Alcaraz to take home the gold in men’s singles.
o She herself has won four Olympic gold medals during her career.
