·      Taylor Swift has officially shattered records again.

·      Her new album The Life of a Showgirl sold a staggering 4 million copies in its first week, the biggest opening of the modern era.

·      Of that total, 3,479,500 were pure album sales.

·      Both numbers are the highest since 1991, breaking the previous record set by Adele for 25.

·      The album’s debut also marks Taylor’s 15th #1 album, breaking her tie with Drake and Jay-Z for most #1 albums by a solo artist.

·      She now stands second overall, behind The Beatles who hold the top spot with 19.

·      Taylor also took over the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

·      All 12 tracks from The Life of a Showgirl hold the top 12 positions.

·      Leading the pack is The Fate of Ophelia at #1.

·      This is the first time in history every song on an album has occupied the Top 12 uninterrupted.

·      It’s also the third time Taylor has owned the entire Top 10.

·      And because Taylor is in full takeover mode, she also announced two new projects: a full Eras Tour concert film and a behind-the-scenes docuseries.

·      Both hit Disney+ on December 12.
