I got my holiday baking on yesterday. I wanted to make those Ritz cracker balls or Oreo balls, but I didn't have either of those in my pantry. I did have a package of Fudge Stripes cookies. Shortbread and chocolate, that's pretty holiday-ish! They ain't pretty, but pretty darn tasty. Easy and messy to make. I guess not baking as much as crushing, microwaving, rolling and dipping! It's a process that doesn't require the oven. I made them while the Eggnog Cockies were baking, so that counts right?

Fudge Stripes Peanut Butter Balls / May Not Be Pretty But Yummy Balls
Ingredients:
1 package of Fudge Stripes cookies - yes the entire package
1 cup of peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup or so of cocoa
1 /2 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips / 1 cup (add extra as needed)
1/2 bag of dark chocolate chips / 1 cup (add extra as needed)
1/2 cup Espresso M&Ms
A TB spoon milk, water, coffee creamer flavor ... add as needed.

Directions:
Crush the entire package of Fudge Stripes with a potato masher or food processor. Whatever you 've got in a big mixing bowl. Do the same with the M&Ms.

Mix in 1 cup of peanut butter and 1 tsp vanilla ... until completely mixed into a substantial dough mixture. Refrigerate to get the dough cold (30 min to an hour) It's dough you can eat raw with no worries! Holiday Bonus!

Melt the chocolate chips with 1 tsp vanila and 1 TB of your favorite flavor coffee creamer, or milk, or water in the microwave. Melt about 30 seconds at a time until it's thick enough to dip the rolled up balls in. If too thick, add a small amount of water each time to make it the thickness you desire.

The 1/4 of cup or so of Cocoa is for rolling the cold dough balls in the cocoa before you dip them. A splash of cinnamon is nice in it too. You could leave them with just cocoa and done. Or dip your Holiday Balls in the chocolate and place on a parchament paper baking sheet that you can stick in the frig to set for several hours. The chocolate could be a bit sticky, but still yummy.

You can add whatever you want to your Holiday Balls you think would be enjoyable to eat. If you usually go for Ritz crackers or Oreos, try the 'Holiday Balls' with Fudge Stripes. Enjoy a newbie Ball combo for the Holidays! Cheers Y'all!
