Throughout her series of Vevo Positions live performances this month, Ariana Grande not only shared the gift of her powerful voice with audiences around the world, but the singer traded in her signature high ponytail for trendy little face-framing braids.

Grande closed out her live series with a special duet performance of her track "off the table," with The Weeknd, as well as wrapping the whole thing up with a live rendition of her lead single, “positions.”
To celebrate the success of her daughter’s career-defining vocals and her performance with the “Blinding Lights” superstar, Joan Grande shared a tweet congratulating Ari and The Weeknd.
Joan wrote, “Just an incredible performance from two brilliant vocalists!! Class Personified!!! @ArianaGrande @theweeknd.”
The whole project was encapsulated in a small fairytale world, custom-built for Ari’s set of performances. Taking a cue from the Lord of the Rings elves the entire set-piece doubled as a mystical, grass-covered, softly lit, lavender world, where AG could serenade us amidst blooming daisies and magenta foxgloves.
Plus, as many noted, Ariana’s hair was akin to the look that Orlando Bloom was rocking as Legolas. Taking a break from her typically snatched-to-perfection, high-pony, Ari’s hairstylist, Josh Liu, had her rocking a half-up ponytail. Plus, AG’s face-framing locks were woven together to create the trendy “little braids” that everyone is obsessed with this summer.
The entire Positions live performance series was a folktale dream come true, and Ariana Grande has continued to be the perfect fairy queen to carry out all of our Pop fantasies.
