For those interested in hearing all about it, you’ll have to wait a little, but we have a feeling it won’t be too long.

The OVO rapper reportedly plans to revisit his rivalry with the late rap icon on an upcoming episode of REVOLT’s “Drink Champs” podcast.

On Monday April 12, host Noreaga who also goes by N.O.R.E, excitedly took to Instagram to share the big news with his 1.1 million followers, although he didn’t reveal a premiere date.

In the caption, he noted they’d be discussing the 2012 beef between Drake and the late DMX, which N.O.R.E. claims he was instrumental in helping squashed with some help from Drake’s producer Noah “40” Shebib.

“U see my face and u know why I’m here !!!” he wrote. “CHAMPAGNE PAPI; but who’s who ? OVO DRINK CHAMPS LOADING. #CertifiedLoverBoy LOADING. @champagnepapi x @therealnoreaga @drinkchamps #drinkchampspodcast a lot of people don’t know but I squashed the beef between dmx and drake thru my boy 40 but we Will save that for drinkchamps !!! Gotta big up Ovo 40!!! Armand and fancy.”

So here’s how it all started, back in 2012, DMX shared his distaste for Drake during an interview with The Breakfast Club, saying, “I don’t like anything about Drake. I don’t like his f***ing voice. I don’t like the s*** he talks about. I don’t like his face. I don’t like the way he walks, like nothing. I don’t like his haircut.”

And it didn’t stop there, X feeling some type of way towards Drake, continued to publicly ridicule the Canadian rapper. This time  in an interview with MTV’s RapFix Live, “He has talent, but it’s kinda redundant, it’s kinda the same all the time to me personally. It’s an annoying sound,” the Ruff Ryders icon said, comparing Drake’s sound to a washing machine.

A few years later though, X changed his tune after Drake used his song “How’s It Goin’ Down” for the 2016 Views cut “U With Me?,” which also featured DMX’s name and lyrics from “What These B****es Want” from his 1999 album And Then There Was X. The ensuing phone call that took place didn’t hurt either.

“I did always say that he was a talented lyricist, but I was not a fan,” DMX said during another sit down with The Breakfast Club in 2016. “[It was] another humbling experience. Like, Yo, you didn’t like this dude for all the wrong reasons… But for him to take the effort–first, to want to use a song of mine–and then to be man enough to reach out and make that call. I was like, homie, hat’s off, man. That was a real move. It took a man to make a move like that. I salute him for that.”

At the end of the day, X realized that Drake was a fan, and recalled Drake’s words, sharing, “He was like, ‘Yo man, [me and 40], you raised us, man,’ I was like, wow. Here you are, feeling this way, not knowing that they love you, son.”

Well, as it seems, the beef was more one sided. Regardless, we’re glad to hear any animosity was squashed before X’s death. DMX passed away on Friday April 9, a week after suffering a heart attack, he was 50 years old.
