When she was turned into a cartoon

While the real Dolly is amazing enough, Dolly in cartoon form is just as incredible. She was given an animate version of herself in a 1983 “Urban Chipmunk” episode of Alvin and the Chipmunks.

2016 ACM Awards acceptance speech

Dolly received the Tex Ritter award at the 2016 ACM Awards. The award highlights a popular movie that was released during the calendar year, and during her acceptance speech Dolly gave a good-humored nod to all of the “long-legged women” she was up against. She also performed with Katy Perry, and the two have performed together again since.

There are ‘enough boobs’ in the White House

While she’s not often political and maintains her wholesome image, Dolly stepping outside of her norm is one of the funniest things that can happen. Both in an interview and on Twitter, she noted that she’ll pass on running for president since there are already “enough boobs in the race.”

Her appearance on Captain Kangaroo

Captain Kangaroo is a kid’s TV show that ran from 1955 to 1984. As the longest running kid’s TV show of the time, the beloved program often featured special guests- and Dolly was without a doubt one of the best.

A highly-requested duet with Miley Cyrus

Dolly calls herself Miley Cyrus’ fairy god mother. The two have an adorable relationship, and when they finally performed “Jolene” together everyone from young fans of the show Hannah Montana to longtime Dolly listeners were captivated.

When she rapped for Queen Latifah

While Dolly is known for her gorgeous vocals and silvery singing voice, it turns out she can also... rap? When the iconic songstress showed off her rap talents in front of none other than Queen Latifah, a genre-crossing moment like none other was born.
