Just how popular are they? They consistently sell out stadiums and arenas whenever they tour. Their songs are chart toppers. Even their instruments, like this guitar that has a bullet hole from Keith Richards, sell for six-figures.

What’s their top-selling album of all time? We decided to do a bit of sleuthing to find out which record of theirs has sold the most copies. According to data from ChartMasters, these are the top-selling Rolling Stones albums of all time.

10 Emotional Rescue - 6.9 Million

The band’s 17th studio album was released in 1980 and yielded the singles “Emotional Rescue” and “She’s So Cold,” which are commonly found in Rolling Stones setlists to this day.

9 Exile on Main St - 11.12 Million

The double album is considered one of the finest records in the group's iconic catalog and was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame in 2012. Singles such as “Shine a Light,” “Tumbling Dice,” “Loving Cup,” and “Sweet Virginia” highlight the record.

8 Goats Head Soup - 12.31 Million

The follow up to Exile on Main St produced another hit record for The Stones and gave the band one of their biggest hits with the single “Angie.”

7 Beggars Banquet - 15.96 Million

The 1968 record saw The Stones return to their roots mixing in the traditional blues and roots music all while incorporating various sounds from around the world. Perhaps the best fusion of this can be found in the opening track “Sympathy For The Devil,” which has gone on to become one of the band’s signature songs.

6 Out of Our Heads - 16.43 Million

Their 1965 album perhaps best encapsulates the early period of The Rolling Stones and also features one of their biggest hits in “Satisfaction.” It’s an essential Classic Rock album, but only the sixth best selling in the band’s career.

5 Tattoo You - 16.57 Million

The album, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary with an expanded edition of the record, features perhaps the band’s best-known song in “Start Me Up.” Even if you take out “Start Me Up,” the album holds its own with singles like “Waiting on a Friend” and “Hang Fire.”

4 Some Girls - 18.66 Million

The 16th studio album from The Stones was also the first to feature guitarist Ronnie Wood as a full time member of the band. “Miss You,” “Shattered,” and “Beast of Burden” stand out as some of the top songs on the record.

3 Aftermath - 20.17 Million

The Stones dove deep into psychedelia on their 1966 record utilizing a host of worldly instruments. The album helped set the stage for not only later Stones material, but influenced countless other Rock acts.

2 Let It Bleed - 21.60 Million

The 1969 album is regarded as one of the band’s most complete works showcasing their incredible ability to blend a multitude of genres and influences into one sound. Let It Bleed was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame in 2005.

1 Sticky Fingers - 22.13 Million

You know the album, the one with the zipper on it. Sticky Fingers represents the best-selling Rolling Stones album of all time as it celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021. There’s numerous classics to be found on the record, which is why it’s best listened to from start to finish.
