Jennifer Aniston kept a sense of humor when those rumors surfaced claiming she was dating “Friends” costar David Schwimmer.
While the 52-year-old actress has since debunked the rumors, Aniston is now sharing some of the funny “Friends”-inspired texts she received from her real-life pals about the romantic reports.
During an interview with Marie Claire Australia, Aniston addressed the topic and how she got messages referencing a classic line from the NBC sitcom about Ross and Rachel.
"That's really funny," she said of the rumors. "I was just saying, 'I hadn't heard a word of this.' Honestly. I was getting a couple of texts from people saying, 'I thought you were on a break, LOL.' And I kept saying, 'What are you talking about?’"
She added: "And then I went online to see what was happening and I was like, 'That is the funniest rumor that I never heard that got shot down in the quickest amount of time.'"

The rumors initially started following the premiere of the “Friends” reunion on HBO Max, when both Aniston and Schwimmer, 54, admitted “crushing” on each other during the first season of the ‘90s sitcom.
Despite their initial feelings, the pair never acted on them and have remained strictly platonic throughout their nearly 30 years of friendship.

Earlier this month, Aniston told “Entertainment Tonight” how strange she found the entire dating speculation.
“That was bizarre. I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother,” Aniston said of Schwimmer. “But I understand it, though. It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies, for dreams to come true.”
