The “Friends” reunion is almost here.
On Thursday, Jennifer Aniston posted a video to Instagram revealing the date of the highly anticipated reunion special of the classic sitcom that’s coming to HBO Max.
“It’s official! The #FriendsReunion premieres May 27th on @HBOMax — could we BE any more excited?! 😝❤️” Aniston captioned the clip.
The brief video shared by Aniston featured the main six cast members of "Friends" taking an evening stroll with their backs turned to the cameras.
"The one where they get back together," reads a caption card near the end of the clip, stylized in the signature font of the show's logo.
HBO Max shared the clip with the official date announcement on social media as well on Thursday.
"It's been 17 years, but your Friends are back. Stream the #FriendsReunion on May 27 only on HBO Max," the streaming platform's official Twitter captioned the post.

In early April, multiple outlets reported that the show's stars — Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc — would reunite for the start of production.
The new confirmed date is exactly one year after the one originally planned. The special was initially set to premiere as part of the launch of HBO Max on May 27th, 2020.
Due to the COVID pandemic, production was delayed multiple times.
The reunion was filmed on Stage 24 at the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, where the series was initially filmed from 1994 to 2004.
