Kelly Ripa Reveals Mark Consuelos Is Their Children’s ‘Favorite Parent’

Kelly Ripa is one of the most adored personalities on television.

But during a recent segment on “Live with Kelly & Ryan,” the mother of three admitted she can’t measure up to husband Mark Consuelos when it comes to certain members of their household.

"Mark's the favorite parent,” said the 49-year-old, who has been living in quarantine with her husband and three children, Lola (19), Michael (23), and Joaquin (17) amid the pandemic.

"Well, first of all, this is the first time the kids have lived with him for an extended period of time. So maybe by the end of the lockdown we will be equal.”

Ripa explained how Consuelos was looked at as the “fun” parent, while she’s been tasked with less entertaining duties.

“But for years I was the one who took them to be vaccinated, I was the one who made them do their homework,” she added. “I was the one who gave them cod liver oil before they made the delicious little supplements."

"So they associate me with pain and suffering, and they associate him with coming home at the weekends with airport gifts,” Ripa said.

The talk show host probably didn’t win any extra points from her kids as she previously disclosed she instituted a way to try and make household tasks more fun.

"We've established a chore wheel where everybody has a chore of the week," she said. “Somebody’s vacuuming, somebody does the dishes, somebody does the laundry, somebody cleans the toilet.”

It was previously revealed that the family had been quarantining in the Caribbean during the pandemic, which is where Ripa has been hosting the talk show virtually.

The  family was on a tropical getaway when the coronavirus caused shutdowns all over the globe in March.
