Kent, Washington is going big to welcome superstar, Tim McGraw for our 'Throwdown' concert

'This is a day of just fun and celebration'

With one week to go until Audacy and 100.7 The Wolf’s Throwdown concert event at accesso ShoWare Center, the Morning Wolfpack welcomed Kent, Washington mayor, Dana Ralph, who had some big news surrounding the July 8th event.

As the city gets ready for one of the hottest nights of the summer, The Morning Wolfpack show and listeners have been working hard to ensure headliner, Tim McGraw, gets a big welcome by having the town of Kent, Washington officially named “Tim Town” for the day of the event.

Mayor Ralph responded to their requests this morning with an exciting update. “I think the response from listeners and fans and residents is pretty overwhelming and my job is to represent the will of the people,” she said.

“This is a day of just fun and celebration,” she continued. “We will definitely be changing the name of Kent for the day.”

You read that right, the city of Kent will officially be known as “Tim Town” as Throwdown takes place.

While the day is named after him, he won’t be the only big-time performer that night. Other artists scheduled to take the stage are Russell DickersonKassi Ashton and Dalton Dover.
