Actor Kevin Bacon joined hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett for a new episode of the SmartLess podcast. During their time together, the guys discuss Bacon’s legendary career, directing roles, infectious positivity and more, while of course finding plenty of time for fun.

While Bacon’s legendary career has earned him major respect on the big screen, his welcoming demeanor and gracious personality throughout every day life adds to his charm. Often approached by fans and fellow actors while out and about, Bacon is always happy to make time for fans.
“I love being an actor and I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude to just be able to do what I do,” he shared. “And when it comes to being kind to people, I kind of feel like my mother was very influential with that kind of stuff,” he shared before detailing gratitude was something that was instilled in him as a child.
While many hold Bacon in a high regard, he also shared he does not feel he is in the same category as many of his colleagues. Admitting he’s never really felt like a “celebrity.”
“I love to meet people who do what we do and connect and I have a certain kind of separation from our industry. I never felt 100% in it, in the community in a weird sort of way.”
