Despite being the style icon that she is, Lady Gaga opted for a look of less, but definitely not a lesser look, choosing to go all hair and no clothes inside the pages of British Vogue. And if you couldn’t already tell, we’re very much here for it.

As for the magazines cover… it’s giving DRAMA, which should come as no shock because like we said Gaga is a fashion icon.
Speaking of fashion icon, Gaga’s conversation with Vogue comes ahead of the premiere of her highly anticipated House Of Gucci film, out everywhere later this month. Lady G sat down with the publication to talk about playing Patrizia Reggiani, and illuminate on her experience of fully immersing herself in the character for the duration of filming.
Totally love that, but let’s get back to talking fashion and cover looks.
The latest superstar to snag double covers of fashion’s bible (after Adele), Gaga not only fronts the December issue of British Vogue but also November’s edition of Vogue Italia as well. Both of which were photographed by Steven Meisel and styled by British Vogue’s editor in chief, Edward Enninful.
For British Vogue, when she wasn’t serving major sass in the nude and teased brunette bouffant, Gaga wore a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture look, which according to the publication was inspired by a 1930s perfume bottle and took creative director Daniel Roseberry six weeks to make. The ensemble featured silk taffeta sleeves that framed the black matte wool crepe dress framed by a cloud of gold lamé. Glam was serving New Wave chic, with electrifying blue hair to match, and the jewels were a mixture of Tiffany & Co. and Boucheron.
For the the singer’s Vogue Italia cover, Gaga went for a different kind of up close a personal, showcasing an up-close shot of her face, while wearing a pink cocoon cape by Valentino, which along with the muted make-up gave us major 1960 Twiggy vibes.
Inside the issue, Gaga continued to go full on couture, from a colorful patchwork matador jacket.
To an explosion of pink-and-white tulle ruffles by Tomo Koizumi.
And each look hit, which of course being the visionary that she is, Gaga already knew ahead of the shoot. Noting to the crew at her fitting “Whatever I wear, I will be serving painful Italian glamour from within.” And serve “painful Italian glamour from within” she did.
