While the show is over two weeks away, Combs was unable to attend the pre-taping for his performance alongside Kane Brown on March 24 due to a positive test. Ticketing company 1iota, who is fulfilling tickets for the performance confirmed the news in an email.

“Unfortunately, Luke Combs won’t be with us tomorrow,” the statement reads. “He is quarantined with COVID. He’s bummed to miss seeing everyone!”

The statement continues on to share that Old Dominion is stepping in and will tape a performance with Brown in Luke’s absence. “In Luke’s absence, Old Dominion will join Kane Brown for special musical performances for a TV taping,” the email states.

CMT is hopeful Combs will be all clear to attend the awards show taking place April 11. The superstar is nominated for two awards including Video Of The Year (“Forever After All”) and Male Video Of The Year (“Forever After All”).
