Back at the end of February, Metallica kicked off their 2022 run of live dates at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada packed with an impressive 60,000 screaming fans. 40 years after forming, and 36 years since the release of their fan-favorite 1986 Master Of Puppets album, the boys have proven once again that they've still got what it takes to bring down the house.

Listen to your favorite music now on Audacy curated for fans, by fans like Metallica Radio, Masters Of Metal, and more!

A professionally shot clip of Metallica's blistering performance of the Puppets album opener, "Battery," was captured in Vegas on February 25 for all of those who were unable to witness the punishing perfection that James, Kirk, Lars, and Rob laid forth for the teeming crowd in person. From the solemn intro to Kirk's wailing solos, and all of the Metal mastery in between, witness the band at its best -- after four decades together -- in the video below.

Here's the full setlist from the evening, for those interested in what other songs the band attempted to tear down the arena with.

South American and European fans, however, can look forward to upcoming shows in the spring and early summer. Keep up with Audacy's 2022 festival news right HERE.
